Plein-air painting ~ Maine Weekend Retreat

Enjoy a long weekend painting the majestic coast of Maine.
Located less than 1 1/2 hours from Boston, students will travel stay 3 nights at the Mariner Resort overlooking the saltwater marsh of The Ogunquit River. Hotel amenities include double occupancy 2 queen bed deluxe rooms. Full size refrigerator and microwave in each room. Indoors and outdoors swimming pools, hot tub, exercise room and light continental breakfast served each morning. Enjoy exquisite views of the marsh and Atlantic Ocean along the Rachel Carson reserve.
The painting class will begin with an evening greeting and group discussion. The following day students will gather on the Mariner site to begin painting the marsh views. The instructor will demonstrate and lead you through the process of creating a painting outdoors from start to finish. Composition, color mixing, tone and brushstroke techniques will be the course focus. The group will visit other beautiful coastal locations and scenic spots to paint during the weekend. On Monday, we will wrap up our week end with a brief group discussion/ critique and final painting lesson.
Hotel accommodations –
3 nights stay - $290 (includes 7% tax)
(Rooms are double occupancy with queen size beds, and can be shared at no extra cost)
Painting Instruction - $200 per student
1-week notice needed for cancellation. $100 (non-refundable) deposit due on sign up.
Balance due one week prior to class.
